Key Points:

  • Negative Marking: 1 mark deducted for each wrong answer.
  • Computer Knowledge: Qualifying nature.
  • Merit List: Based on aggregate marks of Section I & Section II (Total 360 Marks).

Typing Test Rules (Crucial)

The typing test is mandatory. Even if you score full marks in the written exam, failing the typing test means disqualification.

Speed Requirements

  • English Medium: 35 Words Per Minute (WPM) or 10,500 Key Depressions Per Hour (KDPH).
  • Hindi Medium: 30 Words Per Minute (WPM) or 9,000 KDPH.
  • For DEO: 8,000 - 15,000 KDPH depending on the department.

Accuracy Matters

SSC allows a small percentage of errors (usually 5-7% for UR). Exceeding this limit will disqualify you.

Strategy for High Score

The merit is decided out of 360 marks.

  • Math + Reasoning: 180 Marks
  • English + GK: 180 Marks

Notice that English and GK carry equal weightage to Math and Reasoning. A strong command over English Vocabulary and Current Affairs is essential to push your score above the cutoff.

Smart aspirants use the Scoreclever App to master these sections. Its unique revision algorithm ensures you remember every idiom, synonym, and current affairs fact you study.

Conclusion

The SSC CHSL Tier 2 exam is expected in February-March 2026. Use this time to polish your weak areas and practice typing daily. Remember, speed without accuracy in typing is useless, and knowledge without retention in GK is wasted.
